Who knew yoga could be stressful and irritating?

It's been a couple days since I uploaded my food journals so I will have to just put them all below.

I went to the gym twice today. Once, this morning I did Upper Body (which I will talk more about later).  Then again this afternoon. I told my roommate I would go to yoga with her. I thought it would be nice to stretch out my achy muscles and get all zenned out and centered or whatever.

NOPE!





I get in there and roll out my yoga mat. Get all situated in a nice sitting position. Ready to start focusing on my breath. Ready to have the lights dimmed. Ready to listen to some Enya or Indian namaste tunes.

NOPE!

First of all, it was not Bikram or hot yoga...but it was hot - because our ghetto gym does not seem to have A/C just some extremely dirty fans that remained turned off. 



The lady walks in and puts on some Santana and is like EVERYBODY STAND UP! Homegirl had the most irritating voice. She did not once talk about breathing. She talked the entire time and went light speed through all the moves. I heard lots of grunting and groaning and possibly some whispered cuss words.

As I was downward dogging I saw two girls behind me giving this lady some major shade.

I think we were all giving her shade

Note to self: Next time, only take yoga with Larry. He reads us tweets from the Dalai Lama! 

Here is what Monday - Wednesday looked like....

Monday

Woke up reaaaaalllly late

2 pills with water
Breakfast/Lunch

  • 3 egg whites, 1/2 cup chopped yellow peppers, 1/4 cup pico de gallo
1pm - phone check in with Fitness Coach

7:30 pm 2 pills with water

Dinner @ 8pm 
Subway turkey chopped salad
  • Chopped Turkey
  • spinach
  • tomatoes
  • onions
  • bell pepper
  • banana pepper
  • cucumber
  • vinegar dressing
  • Bottle of water
I drank about 3 glasses of water before bed

Tuesday

2 pills with water @ 9am

Breakfast @9:30 am
  • 3 egg whites, 1/2 cup chopped yellow bell peppers, 1/4 cup pico de gallo
  • Water
Gym @2:30
45 min of Interval cardio 1 min walk, 2 min jog @ 5.5, 1 min run @ 6.0 
Cal burned: 290
Miles: 3

Glass of water after

2 pills with water @6pm
Dinner @ 6:30
  • 3 oz. Baked chicken wrapped with one slice of turkey bacon 
  • 1/2 cup tabouleh 
  • Glass of water 
Wednesday 

2 pills w/ water @ 9:30 

Breakfast@10am
  • 2 slices of turkey bacon
  • 1 slice of toasted Ezekiel bread
  • cup of coffee
  • glass of water
11am
  • 16 oz. fresh pressed juice (kale, cabbage, apple, cucumber, & ginger) 
GYM @11:30
4 sets of 15
  • Incline chest press @ 15lb
  • Seated peck fly @ 30lb
  • Flat chest press@ 20lb
  • Wide grip lat pulldown @ 50lb
  • Seated cable row @ 50 lb
  • Low back extension @ 10lb
Post-Work out snack
  • glass of water
  • 16 oz of whey protein shake
Afternoon snack @ 4:30
  • 1 oz. trail mix
5:30 - Yoga from Hell 

2 glasses of water & 2 pills @ 6:30

Dinner @ 7pm
  • 4oz. grilled tilapia 
  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • 9 grilled asparagus 
  • Glass of water
Big glass of water and small cup of almond milk before bed.
